Absolutely compelling read. Some very funny parts but a rich tapestry of the western isle environment. Read it in three days. Am looking froward to the next installment.

Re: Book Review: The Eighty-Dollar Champion: Snowman, The Horse that Inspired a Nation by Elizabeth Letts

This sounds like a fantastic story, though I'm sure every reader will be comparing it with Seabiscuit :)
Glad to see your posts again!

-An old follower, Dee

Re: Book Review: The Flight of Gemma Hardy by Margot Livesey

Oh, I bet! That's a good idea to read them together. :)

Re: Book Review: The Flight of Gemma Hardy by Margot Livesey

Wasnt that a fun read? I have been reading Jayne Eyre at the same time so that was interesting.

Re: Book Review: The Lewis Man by Peter May

I've just got around to reading this. A brand new series for me to get lost in. I heard an extract from the audio book on The Book Report radio show and it sounds really good. I will follow your advice and read The Blackhouse first. It is always better to read the books of a series in sequence. You can listen to the archived radio shows on http://www.bookreportradio.com

Re: Book Photo of the Week

Aw!
